About Paragon Race
Whilst we do not run a full race preparation service we do supply and fit uprated braking, airflow and suspension systems. Our work concentrates on mechanical preparation, not on the fitting of body kits or other cosmetic applications.
Paragon owns and maintains a 1980 Pontiac Trans-Am and a 1993 E30 BMW 320i (see Gallery) which are regularly exercised at track days, the Nurburgring and, occasionally, drift competitions.
The Trans-Am has a 335ci (5.3 litre) small-block Chevy V8 engine and the BMW a slightly tweaked 2 litre straight six. Both have modified suspension and braking systems. We are planning to drop a 3.5 straight six into the BMW, work permitting!
Paragon also assisted in the build of the M3 belonging to Drivers Republic's Jethro Bovingdon, fitting uprated brakes and suspension, seats and harnesses (see Gallery).
