We fit discs with wide aperture slots and ‘blind drilled’ dimples that help pull air under the pad surface to help discs and pad cooling.
- Disc apertures extend to the outer edge of the disc allowing dirt, dust gases, grit or other debris caused by heavy braking to exit the braking area.
- Disc dimples help to break down surface gases but do not promote cracking, something that has been shown to occur with drilled discs.
- Precision machined and balanced
Discs are gold anodised zinc finish to protect the areas not in contact with the pads from corroding. Optimum brake performance is realised after the zinc coating has been removed from the area in contact with the pad – normally within 50 miles.
Please note that it is possible that some noise will be present with this brake set up but will gradually diminish until after about 1000 miles it will be minimal. By their nature the discs will always make some noise which is normal, does not compromise safety and is not covered by warranty
We fit pads to your choice: Fast Street or Full Race
- Fast Street – ceramic enhanced formula means less brake dust, less brake noise and reduced disc wear. These pads are not race specification but are intended for fast street use on cars of 200bhp+
- Full Race – a full race material capable of withstanding high temperatures but with superb ‘bite’ from cold meaning they are suitable for road and track
